The last time I was able to make it to Edmonton for an NSX gathering was a snowy night at Southview Acura when the NC1 was first launched. Fast forward to 2023 and September 24th was the date set for another rendition. The location this year was at the Villeneuve Airport on the outskirts of St. Albert.
It was a perfect morning when I departed from Cold Lake at 6:30 AM with the hopes of making it in time for the 10AM kick off. I should know better by now that it would have been wiser to roll in the night before but a later night at work had me saying to myself that I could just head out earlier than normal. This was the first road trip for the NSX since the installation of a Stanceparts cup kit and KWv3 coilovers and let’s just say that the extra half inch of going lower did not end well for my KSP front lip. Speed combined with some smaller road debris just clipped my front enough to take a small section out of the lip. I will not lie, I photoshopped the piece back in for some of the photos haha.

After arriving in St. Albert, I was behind schedule by about 35 minutes but I thought to myself, after a quick car wash, that it could not be too complicated to get to the airport. Well that was a bad assumption as St. Albert had construction at every road that I could find that led to the airport. Thank you to Marty for getting me in touch with a path finder and I was back on track to arrive right when everyone wanted to get going. Let the photos speak for themselves but upon arrival, it was quite the lineup, coupes, targas, NA2’s and several NC1’s with a Type S as a main feature. Throw in a Huracan and a C7 Z06 and the lineup was complete.

The owner of this Huracan had owned an NSX previously so he was still in good standing with the group. I must say, the orange on bronze flowed perfectly.

Blacked out NC1 looked great lined up with the White Type S for some photos.

Black or White? Murdered out looks great but I will go with the Type S. The new aero and split 5 spoke wheels reminiscent of one of my favorite wheels, Advan Model 5s, flowed well.

Marty’s NA2 was in pristine condition and he recently acquired a set of authentic 17 inch NSX spec Mugen Mf 10’s. I jested I would lower the car in photoshop for him but even on Bilsteins, I will admit, the wheel gap was tolerable with how well the bronze on blue looked.

Another NA2 was in attendance, courtesy of long time owner Clint, sitting on 18/19 Advan RS-DF’s. A big thank you to Clint for assisting in the chaotic group shot we were able to capture before everyone dispersed. Everyone’s wives were starting to call around noon when adulting had to kick back in for the majority of the owners in attendance. One day, we will orchestrate an official cruise through Edmonton.

With the majority of everyone having departed, Marty, Clint, and I, lined up our cars for a couple of final shots. I still consider getting into a Ferrari 348 TS but when you see shots like this, the NSX always draws me back in.

It was neat to see a father and son line up a stock NA1 and a converted to fixed headlight NA1 for this group shot. I have not met an NSX owner as of yet that is not approachable and this car is a piece of history that both young and old truly appreciate.

These shots were during the parking process for the last group shot. While I have captured groups that are lined up in a row before or in a slight u shape, we managed to get the cars angled for a more unique shot that hopefully everyone enjoys. Showcasing all versions and all angles that really accentuate the bodylines.

One day, we will once again be able to get all of the Alberta owners together in one place and I look forward to it. Thank you to Warren for the invite and always helping behind the scenes.
Regards, Travis
